Group 1 Software Europe LtdIn 1996 we were commissioned by Group 1 Software Europe to create the DOC1 Base 14 Font Set for Group 1's Document Composition system. This was to become the core set of fonts distributed with DOC1, providing DOC1 users with a range of fonts in a multitude of formats for viewing and printing. The font set includes a range of typographic fonts Helvetica, Times, and Courier, as well as Symbol fonts and bar code fonts. The fonts are supplied in IBM AFP format, Xerox format, HP-PCL format, as well as PostScript and DOC1 formats. In addition to supplying the outline and bitmap fonts, Terrapin also assisted Group 1 in arranging license agreements to ensure the proper distribution rights were in place. Today we continue to update and enhance the Base 14 fonts, in addition to helping out with licensing and technical issues as and when they arise.

Terrapin have provided us with a first-rate service over many years both for the Base 14 font set which we ship with our DOC1 product and for the special fonts we require for individual customer projects. Many of these special fonts for particular projects have been needed at short notice. The Terrapin team have consistently delivered on time helping us to meet our delivery commitment to the customer.
